NWEA Spring Assessment
Thanks for Coming! I will be sending
out another survey regarding this new style of conferences.
Be sure to have this up and visual for parents when they come... Perhaps some of them would like to follow your blog! :-)
ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Judy Yess and I am from the Minneapolis 2 Blended Community. We met last month at the conference. I had to leave early due to the weather because I live in Winona. One of our assignments was to read a blog entry and leave a comment and question.
I have looked through your blog and I am very impressed. I really liked this Open House checklist. I can just see the kids showing their parents around to all the different stations. Does this activity actually occur the evening of the parent/teacher conference?
Hi Judy!
ReplyDeleteThese student led conferences will happen tomorrow night! This is my first time doing something like this, so it is a little experiment. Our school had spring conferences in February, so this is an extra one. I called each family this week to discuss test results, behavior strengths and weaknesses, and academic concerns. I covered these topics over the phone, so that when the kids come in with their parents tomorrow night, they can truly focus on the center and their child. I guess we will see how it goes! I am very excited!
